Welcome aboard
Kozmo gives each of your projects its own planet. Your profile is your universe, and every project you care about (a Minecraft server, an indie game, your exam notes) becomes a space: a page with its own planet and its own link.
A space is made of blocks laid out on a grid. You decide, block by block, what visitors see and what stays in your private workshop.
This page is a space too. Read it from top to bottom, then go build yours.
Your first ten minutes
1/7- Fait : Create your account
- À faire : Add an avatar and a short bio
- À faire : Create your first space
- À faire : Add three blocks
- À faire : Make one block private
- À faire : Share your link
- À faire : Put a space in orbit
Kozmo's buttons are in French for now. Below, their names are written in italics with a translation, like Nouvel espace (New space), so you can spot them on screen.
1. Create a space
Open the menu under your @username (top right) and choose Nouvel espace (New space). Give it:
a title and a short description;
an address: your space will live at /@you/its-address;
a planet: a colour and a style (rings, craters, bands or moons). Redessiner la planète draws a new one;
a theme: the region of the Sky Map where it will appear.
2. Add blocks
Open your space and click Ajouter un bloc (Add a block). There are five kinds:
Text (Texte): headings, lists, quotes and links. The formatting bar sits right above what you type.
Image: PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF. Add a short description for people who can't see it.
Link (Lien): paste an address and Kozmo fetches its preview.
Checklist: a roadmap or a to-do list, like the one above.
Gallery (Galerie): several images side by side.
3. Arrange the grid
Grab a block by its handle to move it, and drag its bottom-right corner to resize it. The grid has 12 columns and blocks settle into place on their own.
On a phone, use the up and down arrows on each block. With a keyboard: focus the handle, press Space to pick the block up, the arrow keys to move it, Space to drop it and Esc to cancel.
Everything is saved as you go. Look for Enregistré (Saved) at the bottom of the screen.
4. Public or private
Each block has a switch: Public or Privé (Private). A private block is never sent to anyone but you. It isn't hidden in the page: it simply isn't there.
Use it for your roadmap, your admin notes or anything that isn't ready yet. Turn on Vue publique (Public view) to see your space exactly as a visitor does.
5. Choose who can see it
In your space's Réglages (Settings), pick its visibility:
Public: shown in your universe and on the Sky Map.
Non listé (Unlisted): open to anyone with the link, listed nowhere.
Privé (Private): for your eyes only.
Then share your link, kozmo.mattok.ch/@you/your-space. On Discord and other apps it shows up as a card with your planet.
6. Explore and follow
The Carte du ciel (Sky Map) gathers every public space, grouped by theme. When one catches your eye, click Mettre en orbite (Put in orbit).
Your home page then shows Ton orbite (Your orbit): the latest updates from every space you follow, newest first.
Changed your mind? Click En orbite again to let it go.
7. Your account
Open the menu under your @username and choose Réglages (Settings) to change your name, username, bio and avatar. You can change your username once every 30 days.
Turn on two-factor authentication (Double authentification) there as well: an authenticator app such as Aegis, 2FAS or Google Authenticator gives you a code at each sign-in. Keep your backup codes somewhere safe.
The moon and sun button in the header switches between the night theme and the notebook theme.
The free plan
Everything above is free. Each account gets:
3 spaces
30 blocks per space
100 MB of storage for your images
images up to 5 MB (animated GIFs up to 2 MB)
12 images per gallery
You can check your usage in Réglages, under Stockage (Storage).
Be a good neighbour
Kozmo is a shared sky. If a space breaks the rules (spam, harassment, illegal content), use Signaler (Report) on its page: its owner won't know who reported it. Questions or ideas? Write to contact@mattok.ch.
